The 2-bedroom self-contained villa offered a comfortable retreat, though slightly dated, it encompassed all necessities. The kitchen, impressively stocked with new cutlery and kitchen essentials, was a pleasant surprise emphasizing practicality over extravagance. The stunning waterfront location allowed for serene beach walks at dawn and dusk, perfect for nature enthusiasts like myself. However, while the peaceful atmosphere and lovely staff were highlights, some garden maintenance was lacking, slightly detracting from the overall appeal. The inclusion of small comforts like complimentary milk for a relaxing cuppa was appreciated, echoing the thoughtfulness of the management. The presence of a saltwater pool and beach access added to the value proposition, promoting relaxation and outdoor activities. Illawong Beach Resort strikes a good balance between affordability and comfort, making it a reasonable choice for those seeking a peaceful beachfront retreat without breaking the bank.
